Dr. Stanley's 30 Life Principles

When Dr. Stanley was a young man, one week spent with his grandfather charted the course for more than 50 years of preaching God's Word. During those few days, he learned the first of 30 foundational truths that guide his life and ministry to this day.

1. Our intimacy with God – His highest priority for our lives – determines the impact of our lives. 하나님과의 친밀함 2. Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him. 하나님께 순종하고 그 결과를 맡겨드리는 것 3. God’s Word is an immovable anchor in times of storm. 말씀이 폭풍같은 시간에서 움직이지 않는 닻 입니다. 4. The awareness of God’s presence energizes us for our work. 하나님의 임재하심에 눈을 뜨면 우리 하는 일들에 힘이 생김  5. God does not require us to understand His will, just obey it, even if it seems unreasonable. 하나님께서는 하나님의 뜻을 이해하라고 명하시지 않고 그냥 따르라고 하십니다. 우리 생각에 말도 안되는 일 일지라도... 6. You reap what you sow, more than you sow, and later than you sow. 우리가 뿌린 것을 거두고 또 우리가 뿌린 것 이상의 것들과, 우리가 뿌린 후의 것들도 거둡니다. 7. The dark moments of our life will last only so long as is necessary for God to accomplish His purpose in us. 우리 삶의 어두운 시간들은 곧 물러갈겁니다. 언제 물러가냐면... 하나님께서 그 시간을 통해 우리에게 꼭 이루 실 일이 끝나면 말입니다. 8. Fight all your battles on your knees and you win every time. 어떤 싸움이 닥치던지 무릎으로 싸우세요. 항상 이깁니다. 9. Trusting God means looking beyond what we can see to what God sees. 하나님을 의지한다는 것은 우리가 볼수 있는 것 그 이상의 것, 하나님께서 보시는 그것을 보는 것입니다 10. If necessary, God will move heaven and earth to show us His will. 꼭 하셔야만 한다면, 하나님께서는 땅과 하늘을 움직이셔서 그분이 뜻을 보이십니다 11. God assumes full responsibility for our needs when we obey Him. 우리가 순종 할 때, 하나님께서는 우리가 필요한 모든것에 대해 완전한 책임이 있다고 생각하십니다. 12. Peace with God is the fruit of oneness with God. 하나님과 화평함이 하나님과 하나됨의 열매입니다 13. Listening to God is essential to walking with God. 하나님의 말씀을 귀 기울여 듣는 것이 하나님과 동행하는데 꼭 필요한 요소입니다. 14. God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. 하나님께서는 하나님을 기대하는 사람의 편에 서십니다. 15. Brokenness is God’s requirement for maximum usefulness. 우리의 께지고 부서진 모습들은, 하나님께서 크게 사용하시기에 필요한 조건들 입니다.

16. Whatever you acquire outside of God’s will eventually turns to ashes. 하나님 뜻이 아닌 것을 얻었을 때.. 그것은 끝내 잿더미로 변하게 됩니다 17. We stand tallest and strongest on our knees. 우리가 무릎 꿇을 때 우리는 가장 크게! 강하게 서 있을 수 있습니다.  18. As children of a sovereign God, we are never victims of our circumstances. 만물을 통치하시는 하나님의 자식들인 우리들은 절대로! 환경의 굴복하는 사람/피해자가 아닌 것입니다.  19. Anything you hold too tightly, you will lose. 우리가 어떤 것을 강하게 꼭 붙들어 매고 있다면, 당신은 그것을 잃게 될것입니다. 20. Disappointments are inevitable, discouragement is a choice. 낙담하게 만들고 실망스러운 일을 피 할 수는 없지만,  포기감과 실망감에 빠져들어 패배의식을 갖는 것은 우리의 선택입니다. 21. Obedience always brings blessing. 순종함은 항상 축복을 불러드립니다 22. To walk in the Spirit is to obey the initial promptings of the Spirit. 성령님의 인도하심에 따라 산다는 것은 성령님의 prompt/즉각적인 것들에 대해 순종한다는 것입니다.  23. You can never outgive God. 우리는 결코 하나님께 지나치게 드림 이라고 할것이  없습니다.아무리 드려도 지나치지 않습니다. 24. To live the Christian life is to allow Jesus to live His life in and through us. 크리스챤으로 산다는 것은 예수님을 우리의 삶/생활 안으로 모셔 드려 예수님께서 우리 삶을 주장하게 하는 것이고 또한 우리의 삶을 통해 예수님이 살아 일하시도록 하는 것입니다.  25. God blesses us so that we might bless others. 하나님께서는 우리가 다른 사람을 축복 할 수 있게 하시기 위해 우리를 축복 하십니다.  26. Adversity is a bridge to a deeper relationship with God. 인생의 역경 어려운 시간들은 하나님과의 관계를 더욱 깊게 친밀하게 만들어 주는 다리입니다. 27. Prayer is life’s greatest time saver. 기도는 우리의 삶을 활력있게 해 주는 바카스다. 28. No Christian has ever been called to “go it alone” in his or her walk of faith. 믿음 생활을 한다는 것은 결코 혼자 할 수 있는 일이 아빈니다. 어떤 크리스챤도 "혼자 그것을 해라"라고 불림 받지 않았습니다. 29. We learn more in our valley experiences than on our mountaintops. 어떤 정점에 있을 때보다/잘 나갈 때 보다,  인생의 내리막 길에 있을 때 우리는 더 많은 것을 배웁니다.  30. An eager anticipation of the Lord’s return keeps us living productively. 주님이 다시 오시 날을 간절히 기대하는 마음이 있는 우리는의미 있는 삶/ 열매 맺는 삶을 살게 됩니다.
